This prompted Dharmendra to commit suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his residence using his mother's saree in Bajrang Nagar under Heera Nagar police station.

Dharmendra was found hanging by his mother who then called in the other family members and he was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

On Friday, when the family members of the deceased were carrying his body for cremation, they allegedly protested by pelting stones at Astha and Anup talkies, adjacent to each other.

"We are probing the matter and based on the complaint lodged by the manager of the Anup talkies, a case has been registered against those who pelted stones," said Chourasia.
