The Govt Not Responsible For Stones Thrown At Dogs, Says VK Singh On Dalit Killings - Read Full News

Saying that the government cannot be held accountable for the murder of 2 Dalit kids in Haryana, Union Minister VK Singh today stated: "If someone throws stones at a dog, the government is not responsible". He also termed the murder a "feud between two families".  "Don't connect the government with it," he further added.

This is in response to the gruesome death of two-and-a-half year old Vaibhav and 11-month-old Divya who were burned alive when their house was set on fire, allegedly by upper caste members in a Haryana village. Their father braved burns to save them, and reported petrol being poured in through the window.

The Haryana government has demanded an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation into the deaths, and 7 arrests have been made.
