It is a great device for photography, casual gaming and a bit of online reading, though there is scope for improvement in battery life. It is priced at Rs 62,000 for the base 16GB variant, and the prices are not expected to come down for the next few months; however, several sellers are bundling offers to make it a more attractive buy.

iPhone 6S Plus is the right model if you want the latest and greatest Apple has to offer in a smartphone, including a better camera and more battery life than iPhone 6S. The biggest difference between the two smartphones, quite obviously, is the larger screen – but remember that it will make the handset a little difficult to use with one hand. Its prices start at Rs 72,000, and like iPhone 6S’ prices, are not likely to come down anytime soon. Nevertheless, sellers are trying to make the deal sweeter by bundling offers with iPhone 6S Plus as well.

With iPhone 6S a good Rs 22,000 more expensive, this model is a good buy at the current price.
In case you already own an iPhone 6 and are wondering if you need to upgrade to iPhone 6S, remember that the new model only has a few new features to boast of (like 3D Touch and Live Photos), which is the case for most ‘S’ upgrades. Though its 4-inch display is a little too small considering the screen sizes of the iPhones launched in the last two years, it is still a smartphone you can consider buying. iPhone 5C is not the most favoured of the models, as it offers the features of iPhone 5 (launched in 2012) in a plastic body. Available for starting price of Rs 22,000 online for the 8GB model (and discontinued officially), it is only for those who want the Apple brand and do not mind using an ageing handset and compromising on storage. On the plus side, it is likely to get software support from Apple for another couple of years at least.

iPhone 4S is the cheapest iPhone you can buy in India right now, and has been for quite some time. Available for approximately Rs 13,000 in the market, it is an ageing smartphone (it was launched in 2011, in case you forgot) and is extremely slow to use even after the iOS 9 update. We recommend you go for an Android or Windows Phone smartphone under Rs 15,000 instead of opting for iPhone 4S.
